What stops you doing self-care?

November 19th marked the end of Self Care Week and we celebrated this self-care focus with a webinar focusing on ‘What stops you doing self-care?’

Pioneered by the Self Care Forum, this annual focus on self-care is gathering momentum. More and more of us are realising that without good self-care eventually we’ll suffer physically, mentally and even socially. At some point something’s gonna give.

This year’s focus was on Self Care and the Mind & Body connection.

What’s your experience? Do you struggle to do self-care?

Using exercises from the forthcoming “First Aid for Feelings – the essential Manual for self-care skills and good health”, the webinar gives you practical, hands on experience of using the tools and techniques that can help you feel better.

Together with co-author Nicki Hayes, an experienced health and wellbeing writer we talked about:

  • How to understand the feelings that stop you from doing self-care and what they mean
  • How to understand your feeling style and why it matters to know that
  • How to use this information to help you change what’s stopping you into the momentum that helps you do self-care

Check in with our social media posts as we focus on self-care, Mind & Body connection and how you can strengthen your self-care skills and support yourself to feel better.
